About Natasha Bishop
My life has revolved around music from a very early age. I was a band geek who grew up to study at Berklee College of Music and pursued a career in entertainment. I hear music in everything; a drippy faucet, traffic, footsteps, and even silence. In college I studied filmscoring, which is the marrying of music to moving images. I had a professor who made me pick up a camera and start shooting still images to tell a story. Right from the start, I fell in love with the medium of photography. I used music to inspire how I saw the scenes play out in front of me, and when I felt the story was created, I captured it in one still frame. This is how I still shoot today; I pick a subject, research the heck out of it, and create a music playlist for my shoot. I like to think my photos are more than just a moment captured in still frame; my photos are a composition of music, light, and a moment. I view the world as a gallery and believe that photos should be created and not taken. Currently, I live in Los Angeles, CA.
